Focus and Grind
As I sit here and write this I think of the late nights back in 2011 making bracelets then a few hours later taking them with me to work. I have always enjoyed making things, my mother can definitely tell plenty of stories about that. The one thing that stands out to me is that I've always had the desire to have "my own business".
That all started in 2004 with a conversation between myself and my BFF. We decided we would buy houses, renovate them and sell them, and of course make plenty of money lol. Funny thing though, with no real experience that's what we both did. I formed my LLC, and did all the necessary paperwork and bought houses. I had a total of four houses that I bought, renovated, rented and eventually sold. As we all know the market crashed and we both went through tough times, We learned several lessons during that time, some good and some bad.
Fast forward to my next ventures......I sold coffee and various items. I soon realized that it's great to have your own business BUT you have to be focused. I say all of this to basically say........if you have an idea or dream follow it. There will be plenty of obstacles along the way and even plenty of doubt by YOU. Don't be discouraged, you can do it, and all those other things that we hear growing up. I'm far from where I want to be but so much closer than where I was.........Thank you God for all you have done and continue to do........
